Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/barrieheatingcooling.ca\/blog\/changes-to-canadas-greener-homes-grant-for-2023\/\">changes to Greener Homes Grant<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also worth noting, Enbridge gas customers are now eligible for up to a maximum of $10,600 per home in <a href=\"\/rebates\">rebates<\/a>, including a cold climate <a href=\"\/hvac-services\/heat-pumps\">heat pump<\/a> rebate of $7,100.<\/p>\n<style>.embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }<\/style>\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vKptUV7-jEY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1<\/h2>\n<p>Get a pre-retrofit EnerGuide evaluation. The energy advisor will evaluate your home and make recommendations on making it more energy-efficient while reducing your utilities. They will then submit all the reports and documents to Enbridge.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2<\/h2>\n<p>Once the energy advisor has uploaded the file to Enbridge gas, you can go to the Greener homes loan website, click the link for Ontario customers, and apply for the loan. You need to apply for the loan prior to installing any upgrades, but you don&#8217;t need to wait for approval, you just need to start the application process.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 3<\/h2>\n<p>Contact a reputable contractor for each area of your recommended upgrades. They should be knowledgeable with the Greener Homes Grant and will be able to assist you in making the right selections to ensure you\u2019re investing in equipment that will not only make your home more energy efficient, but also qualify for the grant.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 4<\/h2>\n<p>After retrofits are installed, you will contact the energy auditor for the final assessment. They will document all changes to the home , documenting your invoices and receipt from upgrades.
